"Come and learn French!"
Wish you could communicate better in French?
Congratulations for your decision to learn French. I am a worldwide native French tutor with fifteen years of experience, teaching mostly adults and some teenagers. My online lessons are carefully adapted to your needs and your pace. A bientôt, avec plaisir!
What are my methods? How do we work together?
The first time we meet, you will tell me why you want to start lessons, what you find difficult. I will see what you already know and will personalise your lessons to focus on your own goal. We can develop your oral fluency, comprehension, pronounciation and/or written skills, study grammar to re-enforce your basics, develop your vocabulary and discover the French culture.
I use exercise books and different oral tools that make you speak and improve your reflexes, concentration and memorisation. So little by little you speak more and more, as much as possible, and gain in confidence. After our lesson, you always receive my review e-mail of what we've just learnt ; you can read it again, learn it and use it in your everyday life. I also send you my voice recording for the right pronounciation. Repetition of your vocabulary helps you to progress. You can listen to it like a podcast, while walking or in the metro, etc... I am patient and enjoy helping others so teaching and communicating give meaning to my work. I make you work at your own pace and push you to regular efforts as well. Just sheer conviviality, encouragement, concentration and pleasure.
About me
I studied English and German at university in Paris and studied for a year in Cambridge.
For ten years, I worked for a famous art gallery where I was responsible for welcoming foreign clients.
For the last seventeen years I've been registered as an "auto-entrepreneur" native French teacher.
I am very well travelled, lived overseas and love communicating with people of different cultures.
As part of a team I enjoy volunteering and providing regular visits to elderly residents in an EHPAD (French retirement home), in association with the EHPAD's staff.
